Therapeutic Consultation (Waiver Services)

RT and Wellness provides Therapeutic Consultation (TC) services through the Virginia Medicaid Developmental Disability (DD) Waiver. Recreational Therapists work with individuals who have the Community Living (CL) and Family and Individual Supports (FIS) waivers. We work closely with families, organizations, and local Community Services Boards (CSBs) to ensure services align with each person’s unique goals and preferences.

Who we serve:

  • Children, teens, and adults with:

    • Intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD)

    • Autism spectrum disorder

    • Brain injury

    • Physical disabilities

    • Mental health conditions

Sessions are held in-person, in-home, in the community, or virtually.

RT and Wellness offers:

  • Community-Based Skill Building

  • Socialization & Communication Support

  • Leisure Education & Adaptive Recreation

  • Structured Activities for Emotional Regulation

Private Pay Services (Non-Waiver)

Who we serve:

  • Adults, Teenagers and Children

  • Individuals with Autism, PTSD, Anxiety, TBI, Spinal Cord Injury, Dementia, and More

Sessions are available in-person, in-home, in the community, or virtually.
